Session Four - Fairy Tales
[2023/10/22 16:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone) was invited to the conversation.
[2023/10/22 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: is Sapphire here...?
[2023/10/22 16:07] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: eeep
[2023/10/22 16:07] Alicia Frakture: /me nods.Happy for getting it.
[2023/10/22 16:07] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: /me now here!
[2023/10/22 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: and... gggggggggrrrrreeetings Adventurers, some players get to play D&D with fairies, you got a DM who is away with the fairies.
[2023/10/22 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: Last I saw, you'd completed the gas/statue puzzle and now there's a real doorway to a staircase leading up. And Leesha has a skeleton sat on her lap.
[2023/10/22 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: Now what?
[2023/10/22 16:09] Alicia Frakture: leesha pushes the skeleton into the fireplace and stands up
[2023/10/22 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: The skeleton crashes to the ground.
[2023/10/22 16:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "So many skeletons," Debben comments, double checking her person and making sure their equipment is back into place.
[2023/10/22 16:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: As a reminder, you are, as a group, a bit beat up.
[2023/10/22 16:11] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: How badly beat up at the moment?
[2023/10/22 16:11] Alicia Frakture: *I think Leesha is at like 1 hp*
[2023/10/22 16:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha: very badly wounded. Dahlia, wounded and out of magic. Debben, uninjured, able to cast a spell.
[2023/10/22 16:13] Alicia Frakture: If we set up camp here the door may close and we would have to start all over
[2023/10/22 16:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: Somehow, setting up camp doesn't seem like the wisest solution
[2023/10/22 16:14] Alicia Frakture: Let's just get upstairs and see what happens. We need rest, and soon.
[2023/10/22 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: all going along with that? Debben, Dahlia?
[2023/10/22 16:15] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Alright. I guess I take point from here out?" She shudders at having to suggest that.
[2023/10/22 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: Hard to say, remember you're unarmoured
[2023/10/22 16:16] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): heads upstairs too
[2023/10/22 16:16] Alicia Frakture: Leesha shakes her head seeing the shudder."No, if i drop we need you to be ready to attack over my fallen form. I can give time to do it."
[2023/10/22 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: so... what IS waiting upstairs...
[2023/10/22 16:17] Alicia Frakture: Up we go
[2023/10/22 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: None other than the fair princess Rapunzel, and the wicked witch... although...
[2023/10/22 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: you can't help notice the witch is locked in a cage and the princess is standing nearby, cackling, with a large dagger in her hand.
[2023/10/22 16:18] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Apparently we arrived late," Debben comments, pointing her spear at the floor. "Though I wonder what you plan to do with that knife."
[2023/10/22 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: Rapunzel: "Oh, look. Heroes, come to rescue the witch. I guess I'll kill you interfereing busy bodies first!"
[2023/10/22 16:20] Alicia Frakture: Is the window behind Rapunzel?
[2023/10/22 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: uhm... what window?
[2023/10/22 16:21] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: When we arrived to the tower.... there was a rope going up to a window.
[2023/10/22 16:21] Alicia Frakture: *Wasn't there a window someone was calling for healp from when we arrived?
[2023/10/22 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: there's a few windows dotted about, quite small and rather barred.
[2023/10/22 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: Oh, that. Rope went up to the roof, I think, and the windows can open, if you reach up and out to them.
[2023/10/22 16:22] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is going to jump to the cage and try to break the lock and free her.
[2023/10/22 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben, Dahlia?
[2023/10/22 16:23] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I was actually here to see what's going on with the screaming," Debben raises her spear towards the knife-wielding princess. "Though if you're in a stabbing mood I could work out some lingering anger."
[2023/10/22 16:24] Alicia Frakture: *Will be using the wrech for her action. Barehands would be derpy
[2023/10/22 16:24] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): moves to help with breaking the lock
[2023/10/22 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: The witch points at Leesha and starts mumbling and muttering. A d20 if you want to save vs magic
[2023/10/22 16:25] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: The *witch* or the *princess* ?
[2023/10/22 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: The witch.
[2023/10/22 16:26] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: the one who's in the cage?
[2023/10/22 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: The witch in the cage.
[2023/10/22 16:26] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: /me suspects some sort of false-flag illusion is under way
[2023/10/22 16:26] Alicia Frakture: *Think I failed that*
[2023/10/22 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: 12 fails (must be over 17). The witch finishes her spell and POOF! Now there's two Leeshas, one at the cage wielding a wrench, the other slightly translucent and pulling faces at Rapunzel.
[2023/10/22 16:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Arriving at the cage, Leesha finds the cage is actually one complete solid cage, with no door. How the witch got in there is anyones' guess; but this being a story, such details may have been glossed over.
[2023/10/22 16:28] Alicia Frakture: Is there bars on the floor?
[2023/10/22 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Rapunzel stabs at the magic figure of Leesha... and hits! And easy come easy go... POOF the figure vanishes, leaving a very surprised Rapunzel.
[2023/10/22 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Was Debben going to attack? d20 if so
[2023/10/22 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: (No door, no floor!)
[2023/10/22 16:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Ah, yes, will attack as 'Punzle has demonstrated intent to slay us twice over. She moves to strike the princess in the thigh.
[2023/10/22 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20...
[2023/10/22 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: a 9 is not enough to hit...
[2023/10/22 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Next round! Intentions from all
[2023/10/22 16:31] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is going to throw her wrench at Rapunzels head
[2023/10/22 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay...
[2023/10/22 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben, Dahlia?
[2023/10/22 16:32] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): swings flail at rapunzels legs
[2023/10/22 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: and Debben?
[2023/10/22 16:34] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben will cast an illusion upon Rapenzel that her hair has become caught against the bars of the window and that she cannot move away from it.
[2023/10/22 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: that's.... disturbingly specific....
[2023/10/22 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay. The witch mumbles and mutters, pointing at Leesha - d20, roll over 17 if you want to save vs spells
[2023/10/22 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: A 10 fails... the spell is cast and the witch heals Leesha... back to full health.
[2023/10/22 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20 to throw the wrench... over 13 to hit
[2023/10/22 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: Well. That was a useful weapon you just threw away.
[2023/10/22 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia, d20!
[2023/10/22 16:37] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: If she can't move, she can't dodge
[2023/10/22 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: d6, maybe Dahlia saves the day!
[2023/10/22 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me pokes Dahlia
[2023/10/22 16:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia hits and smacks Rapunzel hard, and down she goes! Debben casts her spell but FIZZ... you're in the realm of the fae in a magical story... the illusion fizzles.
[2023/10/22 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: Luckily Rapunzel is down, she lies on her back for a few moments, her tongue out of her mouth...
[2023/10/22 16:43] Alicia Frakture: Leesha goes and picks up her wrench before coming to the witch.
[2023/10/22 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: ...then POOF she vanishes, replaced by one of the pixies. "Why, you broke my curse! You're REALLY cute!"
[2023/10/22 16:44] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: The witch or rapunzel does?
[2023/10/22 16:44] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): looks to the pixie "your cute too"
[2023/10/22 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: The pixie that poofed into place of the downed Rapunzel
[2023/10/22 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Only -one- more curse... well maybe two... I'm sure you can manage it!"
[2023/10/22 16:45] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at the cell and tries to lift it see if the Witch goes with
[2023/10/22 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: By now you know what happens next. The wibbly wobbly 1980s video transition, and tower, cage, witch, everything vanishes, and you're back at the six pathways (all signs crossed out) and the woodcutter, leaning on his axe.
[2023/10/22 16:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "One or two more curses remain?" She looks up to the woodcutter.
[2023/10/22 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: "You're doing very well," the woodcutter says. "Now, I can allow you access to Sleeping Beauty."
[2023/10/22 16:49] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I wonder. Are you cursed as well, sir?"
[2023/10/22 16:49] Alicia Frakture: Leesha raises her hand."Okay, sleeping beauty, but before we go...
[2023/10/22 16:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: "I am but a construct, created along with the stories and the illusions you have faced."
[2023/10/22 16:50] Alicia Frakture: I'm all for helping this but nothing will change until we go, so how about we camp first to get everything back." She looks at the woodsman."Is that allowed big guy?"
[2023/10/22 16:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Unfortunately, you cannot rest here. But I can tell you no harm or danger awaits you - and once you solve this last story, you'll leave this realm of stories. You can certainly rest then."
[2023/10/22 16:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Alright then. We've made it this far."
[2023/10/22 16:54] Alicia Frakture: All right, let's get going then
[2023/10/22 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: The woodcutter stands aside and bows. "The story of Sleeping Beauty," he says, pointing down the path he has blocked up to now
[2023/10/22 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: And, since it's nearly 1am and cliff hangers are a thing...
[2023/10/22 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: :)
[2023/10/22 16:56] Alicia Frakture: Good cliffhanger
[2023/10/22 16:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: yus... well done to get this far... no one died and no TPKs... better'n I thought!
[2023/10/22 16:57] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): yes it has been very fun :)
